Mark and I went to visit the new home-owners, Jeremy & Brittni! It was a great visit. We all worked very hard painting, hanging pictures, decorating, and all sorts of "moving into a new home" chores. Mark and Jeremy installed a doggy door for the pets. Afterwards, the two men put together a new Bar-B-Q grill and patio furniture set for the back deck. As a housewarming gift, Mark and I purchased 8 new trees for the back yard. Jeremy & Brittni were so appreciative of their new plants. Soon they will have the only shaded backyard in the neighborhood.

SPC Jeremy Lester
I created this blog to keep in touch with all our family and friends who have asked me often about Jeremy's whereabouts and well-being. I also thought this would help me keep my focus in the months to come and would also allow Jeremy to keep in touch from so far away. Feel free to write notes or send words of encouragement to Jeremy.
Jeremy called me this morning (29 August 2007). He received his deployment date: September 23, 2007. This will be his second tour in Iraq. Words cannot express the emotions I am feeling right now. I will try to keep a positive attitude and support Jeremy while he is fighting for our freedom in a country so unlike our own.
I am so very proud of my son and what he is doing for his family and our country. I am very proud of the man he has become. May God bless our troops and bring them home safely.
Sincerely yours,
~Bonnie Shows
