Josh bought a Ford Focus when he came in from his offshore job. He gave his brother, Jeremy, such a hard time after Jeremy bought my Focus...and now Josh is driving one! At 35 mpg, I'm considering another one, too! Josh and Kayla came by the house before he left for his two-weeks out. I snapped these pictures. Look at how beautiful my roses are doing. The roses are from a cutting of Mark's aunt's rose bush at the farm.

Aicila's 2nd Birthday
This year, Cynthia and John are having Aicila's and Eddie's birthday parties together because of the enormous gift the parents bought the grandbabies: a backyard play set. It's a two-story swing set, sand box, club house, slide, climbing wall combination. So on Aicila's birthday, Cynthia and John had a small, individual size cake and we opened gifts. I think Aicila's favorite present was a pair of dress-up shoes. She just squealed when she saw them! I wonder if Cynthia is rethinking the bubble machine? :o)
Eddie's T-Ball Game
I went to Eddie's T-Ball game while Mark set up the camper at Hanks Creek, Lake Sam Rayburn, Angelina County, Texas. Eddie & Aicila spent the night with us on the lake. Mama & Papa Shows and two other couples from their RV club spent the week. This is the first time we camped with them. Here are a few highlights from the game.
This was TOO CUTE! After Eddie hit the ball, he ran after it to the pitcher's mound! He was being assisted to first base in this picture.
I especially love the picture of Eddie's opposing team player playing with a cricket while Eddie is standing on base. As you can see, it didn't take Eddie long to spot the "little cricket bug".

Galveston Island State Park
Mark and I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at Galveston Island State Park from April 3-6 (Thursday night through Sunday). It had been a very long time since just the two of us camped alone. A storm developed in the Gulf of Mexico a few days before we arrived and littered the beach with sea weed and all kinds of marine life. Here are pictures of Mushroom Cap Jellyfish (white) and Portuguese Man-of-War (blue). There were crabs everywhere on the beach...and sea gulls trying to catch them. I thought the tracks the crabs made were interesting. I bet Mark and I walked 4+ miles up and down the beach each day. Here are some of my favorite pictures. Enjoy!
