John & Cynthia's House (Hurricane Ike, continued...)

Mark and I were outside in our back yard examining the damage of a lost red oak when we heard a very loud THUD from the front yard. We ran out the front door and THIS is what we saw:



John and Cynthia were preparing to go to her mother's house for what was supposed to be the twins' 2nd birthday party. John was smoking a brisket for their meal. When Mark and I got there, Cynthia was in the kitchen and John was bathing Eddie and Aicila. All were oblivious to the fallen tree. (You can just imagine the chaos in the bathroom when John bathes the kids!) We informed them of the tree on the van and the camper.
